RRB Recruitment 2019: Group D Level 1

The Railway Recruitment Board has officially announced the date of examination of RRB Group D level 1.  As per the official notifications of RRB, the online registration of applications has been started, thus it is very important for interested candidates who want to make their career in RRB, can apply for registration through railway Group D apply online which has been started from 12th Mach to 12th April 2019.

Through offline mode, the closing date and the last day of payment of the application fees is 18th April 2019. The detailed information about the RRB recruitments was published on 23rd February 2019 and the applicants can also pay their fees through SBI Challan, Post office challan, or online net banking i.e. credit card, debit card, net banking, etc.

The selection process of railway Group D vacancy 2019, there are various steps involved at various stages. There are 3 stages in the RRB level exam 1:

  • The first stage is CBT (Computer Based Test) and after qualifying this computer-based examination.
  • The second stage which involves the physical efficiency test (PET)
  • The final stage by the submission of documents for verification and then the medical examination is conducted for the selected candidates.

Exam Pattern of RRB Group D Level 1 Examination

Computer Based Test (CBT) 

The examination pattern of RRC Group D for level 1 involves a computer-based test (CBT) and its pattern of exam is as follows:

  • The duration of the examination will be of 120 minutes for the eligible PwBD candidates accompanied with a scribe.
  • There will be negative marking and therefore 1/3 marks will be deducted for each of the wrong answers.
  • There can be some variations in the actual question papers.
  • Various subjects test and a total number of questions in totality are 100 questions and total time is 90 minutes as follows:
General Awareness, Current Aff.     20  
General Intelligence, Reasoning     30  

Physical Efficiency Test (PET) 

For the RRB Group D recruitment 2019, the second stage of the test involves Physical Efficiency Test (PET), based on the merit of CBT of candidates, selected candidates will be called for 3 times as per community wise total vacancy of posts notified against RRCs/RRBs. It is mandatory for qualifying the physical efficiency test. There are different criterions of selection for both male and female candidates as follows:

  *Candidates should able to run for distance of 1000 meters in 5 minutes and 40 seconds in one chance. *Applicants must be able to lift the weight of 20 kg and carry it for a distance of 100 meters in 2 minutes in one chance only without putting it down.   *Applicants should be able to run for distance of 1000 meters in 4 minutes and 15 seconds in one chance. * Candidates must be able to lift the weight of 35 kg and must carry it to a distance of 100 meters in 2 minutes in one chance only without putting the weight down.

Document Verification and Medical

The 3rd stage is the Document Verification when applicants have successfully qualified both 1st and second stage, twice the number of vacancies, applicants will be called for document verification as per options and their merits. If 2 or more candidate’s secured same marks, then their merit basis will be considered by the age criteria and the older person will get chance at the position of higher merit and if the age also becomes same, then the alphabetical order of candidate name A-Z shall be considered for breaking the tie between them. After the successful verification of documents, applicants are sent for the medical examination.

Therefore it is advised to the candidates to apply online well in time as per RRB Group D apply online 2019 guidelines and must prepare for their exams accordingly. The last date of payment of fees is 23rd April 2019 through online payment and for those who are paying fees through SBI Challan or post office, the last date of submission of fees is 18th April 2019.

The railway Group D tentative examination date is around September- October 2019 and level 1 examination is conducted for the post of Track Maintenance, Helper/ Assistant in various technical departments and Assistant Pointsman as well as level 1 posts in other departments. For all these posts which are notified for examination, applicants will be asked questions from mathematics, general awareness, reasoning and general intelligence of a total of 100 marks.
