Syllabus for RBI Grade B (DR) – DSIM

The standard of the paper is that of the Master’s degree examination of any central university in India.

Paper 1: Questions would cover Probability: Definition of Probability, Large and small sample theory, Analysis of Variance, Estimation, Standard distribution, Testing of Hypotheses, Multivariate analysis and Stochastic Processes.

Paper 2: Questions would cover

  • Probability and Sampling,
  • Linear Models and Economic Statistics,
  • Statistical Inference: Estimation, Testing of hypothesis and Non-parametric Test,
  • Stochastic Processes,
  • Multivariate analysis and
  • Numerical Analysis and Basic Computer Techniques.

Paper 3: English: Essay, Précis writing, Comprehension and Business/Office

Phase 1

Mode: The paper is conducted in an online mode.
Total Marks: Phase 1 paper is of 200 marks
Duration: The total duration of the paper is 120 minutes.
No. of sections: There are a total of four sections in the paper these are:

  • General Awareness
  • English language
  • Quantitative Aptitude
  • Reasoning

 Phase 2

Mode: paper is conducted in an online mode:
Duration: The total duration of the exam is 270 minutes each paper of 90 minutes.
Total marks: The exam is of 300 marks.
Type of questions:  Consist of both objective and descriptive types of questions
