National Testing Agency (NTA) is probably going to unharness the official notification of JEE Main 2019. JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) Main 2019 examination is a gateway to engineering courses offered by NITs, IIITs and CFTIs. JEE Main 2020 will be conducted twice, in the month of January and April. It’s organized in two papers – Paper 1 is for B.E & B.Tech and Paper 2 is for B.Arch & B.Planning.

Latest Application Forms 2019

The application procedure for JEE Main 2019 can begin from 2/9/2019.  Applicants will apply through the official web site – in online mode only.  In JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) Main 2019 January session, 8,74,469 applicants appeared for Paper 1 out of which 15 students scored 100 percentile and 1,45,386 candidates appeared for Paper 2. In 2018, JEE(Joint Entrance Examination) Main Paper 1 Cut Off for General, OBC, SC, ST and PwD was 74, 45, 29, 24 and -35 respectively. 

The exam also serves as the preliminary for JEE Advanced 2020 which facilitates the admission in IITs. Top 2, 45,000JEE Main qualifiers are going to be eligible to seem for JEE Advanced 2020. To outpass the high competition candidates should produce a Study Plan and Preparation Strategy for JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) Main 2019 along with practicing previous year question papers.

JEE Main 2019 Updates

There can be a reservation of 10% to Economically Weaker Section in JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) Main 2019 and colleges accepting JEE score will reserve the seats for the same. Applicants are going to be ready to seem in either one or each the sessions to extend their probabilities of admission within the colleges. For applicants appearing in both January and April, their better of the two scores are going to be thought of for the JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) Main Merit List.

Applicants who register for JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) Main January session cannot need to reregister again for April session; they will directly apply using their Application Number and Password. The examination was formerly conducted by CBSE but from 2019, NTA has taken over as the conducting body of the examination. NTA has decided to normalize the scores of the applicants appearing in different shifts with varied problem level of question paper sets to confirm a good comparison of their scores. However, no modification has been seen in exam pattern and syllabus. 

JEE Main 2019 Exam Dates

JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) Main 2019 will be conducted in 2 sessions, one in January and the next in April. Applicants at their discretion can appear in either one or both the attempts. Tentative dates are given below:

JEE Main Eligibility Criteria 2019

Candidates should remember of the eligibility criteria as determined by NTA, to avoid any kind of last minute chaos. The eligibility criteria for JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) Main 2019 is as follows:

  • Age Limit: Students with DOB (date of birth) on or after 01/10/1995 are going to be eligible. Applicants from reserved categories are granted age limit relaxation as per Government of India norms.
  • Year of Passing Qualifying Examination: Students who passed their XII or equivalent exam in 2018, 2019 or appearing in 2020 are eligible for applying in JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) Main 2019.
  • Subjects in Qualifying Examination: Students with Physics and Mathematics along with either Chemistry or Biology or Biotechnology are eligible for Paper 1 of JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) Main 2019. For Paper 2, Mathematics is a compulsory subject with 50% aggregate in five subjects. Applicants should have five subjects in their qualifying paper.
  • Number of Attempts: Students can appear for the exam thrice, that too in consecutive years. Appearing for both the sessions in the same year is going to be counted as a single attempt.

Note: Applicants must score 75% or higher than in the qualifying examination or rank within the top 20 percentile in their various boards to induce admission into IIITs/ NITs or CFTIs through JEE Main 2020 score.

JEE Main Application Form 2019

JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) Main Application Procedure will begin from 2/9/2019. The application form will be filled on through online mode, only. Applicants will have to fill educational details, personal details, and contact details, the medium of language, choice of paper and examination center city.

Applicants need to upload their scanned passport size photos and sign in specified size and format.  Once the documents are uploaded application fee has to be paid, followed by slot booking for the computer-based test and printing of acknowledgment page.

Even though Aadhaar card is not compulsory, it is advisable to apply for JEE Main 2019 using Aadhaar number. Otherwise, Ration Card, Passport, Driving License or any other govt. issued photo ID proof will be used.

JEE Main 2019 Application Fee

Applicants will pay the application fee using Credit/Debit card/Net Banking/Paytm/Cash Cards/SBI Buddy Wallet or they can also download e-challan and make the payment in any Syndicate Bank branch, Canara Bank or ICICI Bank. Fee will not be returned in any case. Candidates can check the application fees given as below:
